Most of the IT divisions in large and small sized organizations are betting big on the hybrid cloud environment. This is proved by the results of the recent survey conducted by Rackspace. The survey results points out that more than 60% of the IT division heads in organizations see hybrid cloud environment as the future for managing their IT operations. IT managers prefer hybrid cloud systems over public cloud systems based on several factors. 59% of the IT managers prefer hybrid cloud due to the control factor while 54% of the IT mangers prefer it due to security features. Reliability and cost are the other factors that have been mentioned by the IT managers as the reasons for choosing hybrid cloud systems. 80% of the respondents from U.S.A feel the importance of hybrid cloud based IT operations while 64% of the IT managers from U.K. feel the same way. Vice President of Technology at Rackspace, Nigel Beighton, gave the information regarding the objective of conducting this survey. He wanted to know the level of maturity in terms of hybrid cloud adoption. He felt that the markets in both U.S.A. and United Kingdom are well aware of the benefits provided by the hybrid strategy. Another important finding of the survey is that around 60% of the respondents feel that the hybrid cloud is their final destination as far as cloud adoption is concerned.
